Future Teachers-Future Leaders Learning Community

The Future Teachers-Future Leaders learning community connects transfer students with social and learning activities that extend well beyond the classroom. Future Teachers-Future Leaders provides students with an overview of the elementary education program requirements, curricular opportunities, and university procedures. This learning community is a one-semester experience and is required of those transfer students majoring in elementary education. It is tied to EDUC 315: Transfer Orientation.

Majors Eligible to Join the Learning Community

All transfer and change of major students who are majoring in elementary education are automatically enrolled in Future Teachers-Future Leaders. This learning community is also open to those who are exploring/considering elementary education as a major.

Living Options

This is a nonresidential learning community.

Signing Up

Transfer students are enrolled the first semester they are on campus as elementary education majors.
